This solution for SJI takes advantage of the Esri World Traffic Service, which provides near-real-time traffic data. SJI’s automated vehicle location (AVL) system is based on GeoTab, which publishes vehicle location and other information via an Esri service. MapEngine combines data from the two solutions with Maximo work order and personnel skills information to provide dispatchers all the information they need to locate and assign the nearest, most qualified technicians to handle emergency work orders.
